Before your visit

Do I need an appointment for a consultation at Lebensart, or can I just drop by?

Our team looks forward to seeing you with or without an appointment. If you would like a detailed planning session (for example for wardrobe systems, shelving or complex room solutions), we recommend booking an appointment. That way we can focus on your wishes without time pressure. A planning session typically takes up to one hour on average, for larger projects it may take longer.

Are there parking spaces on site — and how do I find the entrance?

Yes. Free parking spaces are available in our courtyard directly in front of the store, bicycle parking is also provided. The entrance is via Ahornstraße 4, 12163 Berlin-Steglitz. You can also reach us conveniently by bus and train.

Is Lebensart accessible? Can I bring a stroller or a dog?

Our ground floor is largely step-free and a mobile ramp facilitates access. An elevator provides access to all floors. Strollers are of course welcome, and dogs are welcome as long as they are calm and kept on a leash.

Which furniture brands do you carry?

We work with experienced, quality manufacturers who—like us—place great value on good design, longevity and sustainability, often for many years.

Do you sell online?

We offer our furniture and accessories exclusively in our brick-and-mortar store.

Do you offer fast delivery for in-stock outlet items?

Almost all furniture in our design outlet can be delivered and assembled within one week in Berlin and Brandenburg at a favourable price (delivery costs from €120).

What can I expect in the Lebensart outlet?

In our outlet you will always find a wide selection of like-new design furniture such as sofas, wardrobes, dining tables, sofa beds and more at reduced prices. Items can be viewed and tried in our store and are often sold due to collection changes.

What price ranges do sofas, tables and chairs fall into?

We offer a wide selection for different budgets. Examples:

  • 2.5-seater sofas (e.g. width × depth 166 × 91 cm, fabric) from €1,179
  • Solid wood dining tables (e.g. width × depth 200 × 100 cm, solid wild oak) from €999
  • High-quality chairs (e.g. fabric upholstery with metal legs) from €249
  • Lacquered wardrobes (e.g. hinged doors, width × height × depth 302.5 × 239.6 × 52.2 cm) from €3,869 — wardrobe prices include delivery and assembly in Berlin
  • Sofa beds (e.g. sleeping area 80 × 200 cm, fabric, spring-core upholstery) from €909

The final price depends on model, material, size and options; we plan individually during the consultation.

Can I take upholstery or wood samples home to compare?

Yes — many fabric, leather and wood samples are available for loan. As a deposit we briefly record your ID and phone number; these data are deleted in accordance with data-protection regulations when the samples are returned. Please return samples ideally within two working days so others can also plan.

What should I bring to the consultation?

If possible, bring a simple floor plan with rough measurements, some photos of the room and initial style ideas. The more clarity you have about colours, dimensions, functions or materials, the quicker and more concrete our planning will be.

Do you also offer consultations in English?

Yes — of course. We provide consultations in German or English as you prefer, with or without a prior appointment.

During the purchase

Are your furniture items customisable — e.g. regarding dimensions or fabrics?

Yes. For almost all models (e.g. sofas, wardrobes, shelving, dining tables, chairs) many options can be customised: dimensions, upholstery, surfaces, colours and sometimes functions. For certain pieces, centimetre-accurate custom sizes are possible. Planning is carried out directly in our store with material samples. On request we can also visit your home to take measurements.

What delivery time should I expect after purchase?

This depends on the manufacturer and model. Because customizable furniture is made to order, current lead times are approximately 8–10 weeks. Once your order has been placed with the manufacturer, we will contact you within a few days to confirm the expected delivery week.

Do you deliver to my home and do you assemble the furniture?

Yes. Our team delivers within Berlin (all districts) and throughout Brandenburg. Nationwide delivery is usually possible; worldwide delivery on request. Delivery including assembly starts at €120. We are happy to discuss the details in the store.

How does payment work — is instalment financing available?

Normally you pay a 20% deposit in the store. The remaining balance is settled shortly before or at delivery, by bank transfer or cash. Card payments (EC, credit card) are only possible in our store. We currently do not offer financing.

Can I still make changes after ordering?

If you change your mind at short notice, we will try to accommodate you. Within 1–2 working days after ordering this is often still possible. After that, production usually begins and changes are only possible with the manufacturer’s agreement.

What warranty do I have on the furniture?

You have the statutory warranty. Many manufacturers also provide additional guarantees—for example for upholstery, fittings or finishes. We will inform you which applies to your chosen piece.

Do you also dispose of old furniture?

Yes — we can arrange disposal on request for a service fee. Example: disposal of a 2-seater sofa for €60. Please ask us at the time of purchase and we will include this in the planning.

After delivery

Can I return furniture or withdraw from the purchase?

Custom-made items are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal — for example individually planned sofas, wardrobes or shelving. The same applies to display items (outlet). Stock items, by contrast, can be returned in like-new condition within 7 days upon presentation of the receipt or invoice.

How do I care for my new piece of furniture correctly?

For each planned piece you will receive care instructions with tips and guidance upon purchase. We are also happy to advise you during and after the purchase. Suitable care products are available from us. More information can be found on our care page.

Are spare covers or spare parts available later?

For many models, yes — even years after purchase. If you send us the model name and a photo to ..., we will gladly check availability for re-delivery.

What happens if something is damaged during transport?

Our shipping team documents any damage directly upon delivery — and we will promptly take care of a solution. Our service team will contact you within 1–2 working days.

What does sustainability mean at Lebensart specifically?

Most of our furniture is produced in Europe or even in Germany — with short transport routes, a focus on longevity and repairability, and an increasing share of certified upholstery and woods (OEKO-TEX®, FSC®). Around 50% of our upholstered furniture is already produced carbon-neutrally. Since 2007 our store has been run entirely on green electricity, since 2022 with our own solar installation and since 2015 exclusively with energy-efficient LED lighting.

Do you have sofas with removable, washable covers?

Yes — several models, especially among the sofa beds (which on request can sometimes be ordered without the bed function).

Can I order fabric samples by post?

Currently not. We ask that you select samples directly in the store so you can experience colours and texture in person. However, you can borrow covers for viewing at home.

Is 3D planning available?

Yes. Many pieces — including wardrobes, shelving, chairs or sofas — can be planned with you at the consultation PC and displayed as a 3D view and adjusted. This greatly helps the spatial impression.

Do you deliver to upper floors without an elevator?

Yes — our two-person team can handle that. Please indicate the floor and accessibility when ordering; individual delivery prices are given in the store.

Are exhibition pieces available at reduced prices?

Yes — we offer a large selection of like-new individual pieces from our showroom in the outlet. These are often immediately available or deliverable within a week at a favourable price.
